- The inception of a professional media education course can be attributed to Dr Meena Muthiah, Secretary and Correspondent, whose vision of serving society by cultivating socially responsible citizens materialized in the form of an undergraduate course in Visual Communication introduced in 2017. Since its establishment, the program has been instrumental in shaping media professionals with a keen ability to think creatively and fulfil the demands of the global media market. The integrated learning approach enables students to glean insights from industry experts through internships, seminars, and live interactive sessions conducted during industrial visits. The department has successfully distinguished itself by providing cutting-edge technologies, enhancing the learning environment, and aligning with industry standards.
